Macquarie University F5A Glasshouses

Client
Macquarie University
Description
This project involved the design of a new chilled and heating water air conditioning system to replace end of life split type direct expansion AC plant. CJP provided the concept and detailed design for 10 research glasshouses in the F5A space. The spaces required a new dedicated 330kw chilled water loop, replacement of the existing boiler, modification and refurbishment of the existing hot water loop to ensure that research conditions were maintained throughout the year. The existing ducted split AC units were removed and new air cooled chillers, pumps, pipework and dedicated chilled/hot water fan coil units were installed for each glasshouse. New BMCS was provided to allow monitoring of the critical lab conditions.
